Launching in 2023-2024: A new Advanced Manufacturing Pathway!
Indiana’s graduation pathways are an important piece of the new way we are
preparing our students for college and careers.
The purpose of Graduation Pathways is to ensure that every Hoosier student graduates from high school with:
1) A broad awareness of and engagement with individual career interests and associated career options;
2) A strong foundation of academic and technical skills; and
3) Demonstrable employability skills that lead directly to meaningful opportunities for postsecondary education, training, and gainful employment.
Concord was one of five local school districts in partnership with Horizon Education Alliance were awarded a 3E (Explore, Engage, Experience) grant from the Indiana Department of Education. This grant will lead to the development of a comprehensive K-12 career pathway focused on Advanced Manufacturing. It will help the build-out of career exploration activities in grades K-6, focused engagement activities in grades 6-10, and experiential activities across all four levels of work-based learning in grades 11-12. This grant will produce opportunities that align with courses and programs offered in advanced manufacturing at the Career Center and high schools, creating an aligned career pathway for students.
