Guidelines and Regulations

The Concord School believes that the school facilities of the District should be made available for community purposes, provided that such use does not infringe on the original and necessary purpose of the property or interfere with the educational process of the schools and is harmonious with the purpose of this District.

Any organization or individual desiring to use District facilities shall complete a facility use application at least two (2) weeks prior to the activity and submit it for approval. 

District facilities shall be available for the below listed uses.  When there are competing interests for the use of the facilities, approval will be given according to the following priorities:

  1. Uses directly related to the schools and the operations of the schools. 

  2. Use and groups indirectly related to the schools. 

  3. Meetings of employee associations.

  4. Departments of agencies of government.

  5. Approved special funeral services.

  6. Community organizations or groups of individuals formed for charitable civic, social, religious, recreational and educational processes. 

Eligibility

Group A: Priority 1 

The use of corporation facilities for school-sponsored groups shall be without cost to the users.  School Sponsored groups are defined as those established by the School Board. 

Group B: Priority 2 

The use of corporation facilities for school community groups shall be without cost to the users, except that the users shall be responsible for any additional staff services.  Class B is defined as those providing educational, recreational and cultural activities for current Concord students that directly relate to the schools overall mission and well-being.  This also includes the Community Recreation Program.  

Group C: Priority 3 

The use of corporation facilities for community groups may or may not assume costs to the users based upon residence of the member organization and as determined by the building principal or designee, except that the users will be responsible for any additional staff services.  Class C groups are defined as governmental agencies; groups primarily composed of school corporation residents providing civic, educational, recreational, or cultural activities and staffed by paid employees or volunteers.  Certificate of insurance must be included.  This would include the below listed: 

a. Meetings of employee associations 
b. Department or agencies of the municipal government 
c. Other government agencies 
d. Community organizations or groups of individuals formed for charitable, civic, social educational, political, religious and recreational purposes 

Group D: Priority 4 

The use of Corporation facilities for commercial or for-profit organizations shall assume all charges as indicated along with the cost of such additional staff services.  Commercial or profit-making organizations OR individuals offering services for profit.  Certificate of insurance must be included.
