TIMELINE
March 2019 -- School board approves project plans
June 2019 -- Renovation project begins

In addition to a variety of updates throughout, the Beickman Performing Arts Center renovation project includes an expanded lobby area where guests can gather before and after performances. The renovations also include an ADA entrance and seating.
The $6 million project was funded through the sale of a bond and did not raise taxes.
Other project details include:
Doubling restroom capacity from two restrooms to five (two men’s, two women’s, and a family restroom);
Replacing and improving seating in the auditorium for a total of 904 guests, plus eight wheelchairs;
Running LED light strips down the aisles to serve as visual markers;
Adding light and sound traps between the lobby and the house to enhance the quality of performances;
Creating a director's overlook area behind the light and sound booth;
Improving the functionality of the control room; and
Installing a steel frame in the ceiling of the lobby to serve as rigging for lighting and projection systems.
